Bulacan PNP gears up for ‘Undas 2024’

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS — The Bulacan Police Provincial Office has deployed nearly 900 personnel in the province for the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Bulacan Provincial Director Col. Satur Ediong in his statement on Wednesday (Oct. 30) orders maximum police presence in memorial parks, cemeteries, columbaria, and transport terminals to provide public safety services to Bulakenyos in the peaceful observance of Undas 2024.

Ediong has also instructed field officers to collaborate with force multipliers and emergency response units to ensure effective and visible security.

Furthermore, according to the provincial director, the Bulacan chiefs of police have mandated inspections at memorial parks, cemeteries, columbaria, and transport terminals to enhance police presence and ensure the safety of travelers heading to their provinces.

Dissemination of safety tips and information is also undertaken to raise public awareness of different safety measures against lawless elements, making them more vigilant, responsible, and cautious in time for All Saints and All Souls Day.

“The goal of deployment is not just police visibility but also to feel their presence in the areas of convergence to assist commuters, particularly senior citizens and persons with disabilities,” Ediong said.

Also, Ediong emphasizes the commitment of the Bulacan police to uphold public safety during the observance of Undas 2024 and aims to ensure a secure and peaceful environment for all as families pay their respects to their departed loved ones.

He added, the cooperation of the public is also vital in maintaining order during this important time. The Bulacan PPO stands ready to assist and protect the community, reinforcing their pledge to serve with integrity and dedication.

Ediong also encouraged the public to stay vigilant as he assured that all police units are on standby to guard against criminals who might take advantage of the huge volume of people during the annual observance of “Undas”.

Meanwhile, in line with “Ligtas Undas 2024”, Maranan has deployed nearly 4,000 police personnel across the region. He has also directed field officers to coordinate with force multipliers and emergency response units to ensure efficient and visible security.

“Our personnel will be deployed from October 29 through November 4 to guarantee the safety and security of the public as they commemorate All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days,” Maranan affirmed. (UnliNews Online)
