RMDU3 commemorates national Nurses Week 2024

THE Regional Medical and Dental Unit 3 (RMDU3) celebrated National Nurses Week 2024, honoring its devoted nursing staff under the theme “Tres’ Nurses with a Caring Badge, Making a Difference.”

The event, led by PCol. Jonard J. De Guzman, Chief RMDU3, alongside other unit leaders, recognized the essential role of RMDU3’s nursing professionals as the heart and soul of PNP’s healthcare services.

The week-long celebration highlighted the unwavering dedication, expertise, and compassionate care RMDU3 nurses offer. A vibrant ceremony marked the beginning of the event, showcasing stories of resilience and empathy.

The “caring badge” symbolizes the transformative impact of nurses, celebrating how they bring hope and healing to countless lives. A backdrop of photos captured the devotion and compassion of these healthcare heroes, creating a visual tribute to their indispensable role in healthcare.

The celebration unfolded in three parts:

Mental Health Awareness Session

PSMS Ethel Mae R. Buenaventura, NP PNCO, led a lecture on the PNP Bantay Kaisipan Program and Mental Health Red Flags, followed by group activities. Each participant received a “stress glowing ball,” symbolizing the importance of managing mental health.

“Boodle Flight” Lunch

A communal lunch emphasized camaraderie and the teamwork spirit that defines the nursing profession, offering a moment for nurses to relax and celebrate their collective efforts.

“Zumbayaning Nars” Dance Event

A lively Zumba session closed the celebration, honoring the spirit and energy of RMDU3’s nurses. The fusion of Zumba with the nurses’ commitment to patient care uplifted spirits and celebrated their strength and dedication.

As part of the celebration, a video tribute to RMDU3’s nurses was shown, highlighting their hard work and dedication. Additionally, tokens of appreciation were presented, symbolizing core qualities such as sensitivity, pride, responsibility, and quick action in emergencies. Certificates of commendation were awarded to outstanding nurses, inspiring all attendees to continue their compassionate service.

Concluding with a shared meal through “Project SUMPAAN,” the event reinforced the importance of unity within the healthcare team. The week underscored the critical role RMDU3 nurses play, showcasing their commitment and compassion as the lifeblood of healthcare. National Nurses Week 2024 served as a heartfelt tribute to these heroes, who continue to make a profound difference in the lives of those they serve. (UnliNews Online)
