CITY OF MALOLOS — As a testament to the unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence and good governance, the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) has never failed to surpass the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) assessment since its launching in 2014 making it an eight-time awardee of the distinct recognition for outstanding local government units.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government released recently, the complete list of passers including the name of PGB and all its four cities and 13 municipalities namely Cities of Baliwag, Malolos, Meycauayan, and San Jose del Monte, and Municipalities of Angat, Balagtas, Bulakan, Bustos, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Marilao, Pandi, Paombong, Plaridel, Pulilan, San Ildefonso, and Santa Maria.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando expressed his joy and pride that the province and most of the local governments under it were able to pass all ten governance areas including financial administration and sustainability; disaster preparedness; social protection and sensitivity; health compliance and responsiveness; sustainable education; business-friendliness and competitiveness; safety, peace, and order; environment management; tourism, heritage development, culture and arts; and youth development.
“Akin po ang karangalan na iparating sa lahat ng Bulakenyo ang bunga ng ating masipag at matapat na paglilingkod. Sa mga assessment areas po na ito nakatugma ang ating People’s Agenda 10 kaya naman makasisiguro ang ating mga kalalawigan na lahat ay makakasama at walang maiiwan sa paghawi natin ng daan patungo sa pagiging first-world province ng Lalawigan ng Bulacan,” the governor said.
All the 714 local government units including 41 provinces, 96 cities, and 577 municipalities from all over the country who passed the assessment will be awarded through the SGLG National Awarding to which the details are to be announced by the DILG. (UnliNews Online)
