CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — In line with its relentless efforts to combat illegal drugs, the Bulacan police has once again made significant strides in the war against illegal narcotics.
In a statement on Tuesday (Jan 28), Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, Regional Director of PRO3, approximately 11 p.m., the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Meycauayan City Police Station carried out a successful buy-bust operation in Block 10, Barangay Bayugo, Meycauayan City.
“This operation led to the arrest of two suspects, who were later identified as a.k.a. Michelle and alias Amino,” Fajardo said.
A total of 101.55 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 690,540.00, was confiscated from the suspects.
She added the two individuals are now facing charges under Section 5 and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Fajardo commended the efforts of the Meycauayan City Police Station’s SDEU and reiterated the commitment of PRO3 in the continuous fight against illegal drugs.
“This operation is a testament to our commitment to dismantling illegal drug operations in Central Luzon. We will not rest until illegal drugs are eradicated from our communities. Our success in this buy-bust operation is a result of the hard work and dedication of our police personnel, and we will continue to work closely with local stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of our region,” said Fajardo.
The arrested suspects are currently under the custody of the Meycauayan City Police Station while waiting for the filing of charges in court.
