P1.1M drug haul: Police arrests 6 in back-to-back ops in Bulacan, Bataan

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to strike hard against the illegal drug trade, leading to the successful arrest of five individuals in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, and a high-value target in Balanga City, Bataan,

In a buy-bust operation at around 8:3O p.m. on Friday (Jan 31) in Barangay Bagong Buhay I, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, joint operatives of SJDM CPS INTEL/DEU, with elements of PCP4 and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) under Coordination No. 10004-012025-0759, apprehended four suspects: alias “Jeff,” alias “Win,” alias “Vin,” and alias “Mitch.” However, another suspect, identified as “Okong,” remains at large.

Authorities seized 14 small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 70 grams with a standard drug price of P476,000.00. Also confiscated were a black coin purse and Php 1,000.00 in drug money, including marked buy-bust bills.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation at about 6:45 PM along Roman Highway, Barangay Tenejero, Balanga City, Bataan, SDEU personnel of Balanga City Police Station arrested a high-value individual on the drug watchlist, alias “Lan.”

The operation led to the confiscation of one heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu during the buy-bust transaction. A subsequent search uncovered two large heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 100 grams of shabu, valued at P680,000.00, along with a Smith & Wesson caliber .38 revolver loaded with five (5) live rounds and bearing no identifiable serial number.

The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and taken to Balanga CPS for proper documentation and filing of charges.

Police Brigadier General Jean S. Fajardo, Regional Director of PRO3, lauded the operatives for their commitment to the PNP’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs.

“These arrests send a resounding message—there is no place for illegal drugs in our communities. We will be relentless, we will be unyielding, and we will not stop until we rid our streets of this menace. Let this be a warning to those who continue to engage in the drug trade: we will apply the full force of the law against you. We urge the public to stay vigilant and work with us in this fight for a safer, drug-free society,” Fajardo emphasized.

The PNP assures the public that follow-up operations are ongoing to track down remaining suspects and dismantle drug syndicates operating in the region. (UnliNews Online)
