2 Pakistani nationals arrested for rape in Olongapo

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Two Pakistani nationals were arrested for allegedly violating Republic Act 8353 (Anti-Rape Law) after a female victim filed a complaint in Olongapo City on Sunday (Feb. 9).

The suspects, identified only as “Moon,” 22, and “Elias,” 34, were taken into custody after the victim, alias “Sheng,” 28, sought police assistance at Police Station 4 (PS4) at around 6:10 p.m.

The assault allegedly took place earlier that day at 8 a.m. inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ), Brgy. Old Cabalan, Olongapo City.

According to the victim, a restaurant staff member and a resident of Old Cabalan, she was sexually assaulted consecutively by the two suspects. Investigations revealed that “Moon” is a tourist staying at a boutique hotel in SBMA, while “Elias”, the victim’s employer, owns the restaurant where she works.

Upon receiving the complaint, PS4 personnel swiftly launched a follow-up operation, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspects.

Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), issued a strong statement condemning sexual violence and warning perpetrators that the will face the full weight of the law.

“We will not allow sexual predators to walk free. The full force of the law will be used to ensure these criminals are punished. Let this serve as a clear warning—anyone who dares violate the rights and dignity of another person will face the consequences. The PNP stands firm in its commitment to protecting the vulnerable and delivering justice swiftly and decisively.”

The suspects are now in police custody as legal proceedings continue. The PNP urges the public to report any incidents of abuse or violence, reinforcing its zero-tolerance policy against sexual crimes and its dedication to protecting every citizen from exploitation and harm. (UnliNews Online)
