MANDALUYONG CITY — Around 3,000 jobs exclusive for deployment in Hungary will be available to jobseekers during the Philippines- Hungary Friendship Week Job Fair, as part of the enhanced international cooperation between the two countries.
The job fair will be held at the Level 3 (EDSA Wing) of the Robinson’s Galleria in Mandaluyong City this March 11, from 10 a.m. up to 4 p.m. Expected to participate in the event are accredited recruitment agencies that will offer almost 3,000 job vacancies for Hungary only.
The event is in line with the directives of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to ensure the protection of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) against illegal recruitment and trafficking and provide avenues for safe and legitimate recruitment processes.
Undersecretary for Policy and International Cooperation, Atty. Patricia Yvonne Caunan said that to have an orderly queue during the event, there will be a pre-registration. The DMW will post a poster with a QR code in its social media accounts, which applicants can scan and register.
“Ang amin pong advice sa aming mga kababayan, mag-pre-register po para po masigurado natin ‘yung inyong slot doon sa Robinson’s Galleria,” Usec. Caunan said.
Among the positions to be filled in the job fair include: machine operators, welders, pipe fitters, hotel and restaurant workers, and factory workers. The salary will range from 700 Euros to 1,000 Euros.
On March 10, a series of activities in line with the Philippines-Hungary Friendship Week will be held at the DMW Central Office in Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City. These include the opening of the Philippines-Hungary Exhibit and Bazaar, cultural performances from both countries, “Kamustahan” with OFWs in Hungary and a film viewing. (UnliNews Online)
