MALOLOS CITY — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office showed its support during the groundbreaking ceremony, which marked the beginning of the construction of a 540-square meter covered court that doubles as an evacuation center with a barangay health center in Barangay Encanto, Municipality of Angat.
The event was attended by ANAKALUSUGAN Party-list Representative Ray Reyes, George Bautista representing Congressman Pleyto, Mayor Reynante Bautista, local officials from the municipality of Angat, Bulacan, and DPWH Assistant District Engineer Gene S. Leaño.
District Engineer George DC. Santos, in a message, said that a total of P9.8 million had been allotted in the 2023 General Appropriations Act for the implementation of these basic social infrastructures, which were made possible with the help of Bulacan 6th District Representative Salvador Pleyto.
Encanto Barangay Captain Crisostomo S. Garcia, in addition to thanking the DPWH, expressed his gratitude to Pleyto, ANAKALUSUGAN Party-list, and Angat Mayor Reynante Bautista for their efforts in making these projects possible, which will greatly benefit local residents and improve the delivery of social services.
Bautista, on the other hand, said that the construction of these facilities aimed to bring healthcare services closer to the community and will provide a decent venue for Angateños, especially the youth, to be active in sports and other fitness activities.
DE Santos, represented by ADE Leaño, assured the community that the projects would be completed with utmost care and in accordance with their mandate.
“On behalf of District Engineer George DC.
Construction works for these projects are expected to be completed by September of 2023. (UnliNews Online)
