4 CTG members denounce support to CPP-NPA

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — An active and two former communist terrorist group (CTG) members voluntarily surrendered to authorities while a member of Bayan Muna denounced support to CPP-NPA on Thursday (May 11).

Joint personnel of 1st PMFC Bulacan together with other concerned units facilitated the voluntary surrender of “Ka Arman”, a member of Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB), at Brgy. Guinhawa, Malolos City, Bulacan and turned in one cal. 38 snub nose revolver without a serial number, three pieces of caliber .38 live ammunition, and two pieces of 40mm HE Cartridge.

Similarly, joint elements of 1st PMFC Tarlac PPO together with PIU Tarlac PPO, Mayantoc MPS, PIDMU, NICA3, and RIU3 PIT TARLAC facilitated the voluntary surrender of “Ka Peng”, a former CTG member operating in TAR-ZAM and KLG Sierra Madre, and the withdrawal of support of a Bayan Muna member wherein he turned in one 40mm ammunition (High Explosive).

Meanwhile, personnel of Zambales 2nd PMFC together with other concerned units process the documentation of the voluntary surrender of “Ka Joel”, a Former Underground Mass Organization (UGMO) Member, at NFA Compound, Barangay Magsaysay, Castillejos, Zambales.

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. said that Central Luzon cops will continue their unremitting efforts together with members of RTF-ELCAC to encourage active and former members of CTGs to return to the government and live a peaceful life. (UnliNews Online)
