Fernando underscores the importance of mental health awareness, supports gender equality

CITY OF MALOLOS — Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando stressed before thousands of students of Bulacan Polytechnic College the importance of having a healthy mental state and expressed his support for gender equality.

He said this during the Gender Concept and Gender Quality Awareness and Stress Management/Mental Health Awareness Orientation held recently in Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here wherein the governor added that having a healthy state of mind can bring a positive outlook in life thus making an individual more productive and successful.

Meanwhile, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Assistant Department Head Anna Liza S. Ileto and Provincial Health Office – Health Education and Promotion Officer II Patricia Ann Alvaro led the discussion on the possible negative impacts of gender inequality and unhealthy mental state on students and how it affects their way of living.
