The operations were conducted with the use of intelligence-driven strategies, and the cooperation of the Philippine National Police (PNP), other government agencies under the National Taskforce to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC), and the local populace.

The Commmander, NOLCOM also credited the Command’s community engagement efforts, which have fostered stronger ties between the military and local communities.

“The withdrawal of support from the CNT mass base supporters is a testament to our community engagement efforts, and we will continue to work closely with the local government units, agencies, NTF-ELCAC and stakeholders to further address the root causes of the Communist insurgency and decimate it as soon as possible,” LTGEN Buca added.

Under Lt. Gen. Buca’s leadership, NOLCOM has intensified its operations against Communist Terrorism while simultaneously addressing the needs of the communities in the Northern Luzon region in collaboration with LGUs and other stakeholders.
