5 nabbed, nearly P350K worth of shabu seized in Angeles, Nueva Ecija

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police arrested five personalities and seized P345,440.00 worth of alleged shabu during separate anti-illegal drug operations in Angeles City and Nueva Ecija over the weekend.

Joint operatives of General Tinio PS together with other police units conducted a buy-bust operation at Brgy. San Pedro, Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija which resulted in the arrest of Rodelio Abiog. Seized from his possession were one P500 bill, and three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 12 grams with an approximate value of P81,600.00.

Meanwhile, in Angeles City, two Street-Level Individuals (SLI) identified as Melvin Abella and Macy Abella were arrested by elements of ACPO PS5 during a buy-bust operation at Brgy. Cutcut, Angeles City. Confiscated from the duo were one P1,000 bill marked money, three pieces of small-sized plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one medium-sized heat-sealed sachet also containing suspected shabu, with an approximate total weight of 27.8 grams with an estimated value of P189,040.00.

Additionally, Rodolfo Coronel, SLI, and his cohort Alvin Jade Mercado were arrested during buy-bust operation conducted by joint personnel of ACPO PS4 with other police units at Brgy. Balibago, Angeles City. Seized from the suspects were two pieces of P500 bill-marked money and a total of five (5) pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspect shabu weighing more or less 11 grams with an approximate value of P74,800.00.

Appropriate charges for violation of Sec 5 and 11 Art II of RA 9165 are already prepared against the arrested suspects for court referral.
