CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — As Police Regional Office 3 intensifies its anti-illegal drug campaign under the strict directives of PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., authorities apprehended 12 drug peddlers and seized P633,200.00 worth of illegal drugs during separate operations conducted region-wide on a three-day streak.
Joint elements of Sta. Ana MPS together with other police units conducted a buy-bust operation at Brgy. San Roque, Sta. Ana, Pampanga which resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) identified as Jerwin Saboriendo.
Seized from his possession were pieces of sachets containing marijuana, one brick of marijuana with a total weight of 660.4 grams valued at P79,000.00, one Cal. 38 Smith and Wesson Special CTG Revolver with serial no. B5X7655 loaded with 3) pieces of Cal. 38 live ammo, one weighing scale, and one piece of P500 bill marked money.
Also in Pampanga, Manilyn Terado, Romuel Umangay, Ryan Joe Delos Santos, and Ronald De Guzman were arrested by joint operatives of Mabalacat CPS with other concerned units thru conducted anti-illegal drug operation at South Daang-Bakal, Dau, Mabalacat City and were confiscated with 6 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 30 grams with an estimated value of P204,000.00, and two pieces P1,000 bill marked money.
CPDEU of Olongapo CPO conducted an anti-illegal drug operation at Lower Sibul, Brgy. West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City which resulted in the arrest of a Street Level Individual (SLI) named Razel Paes and his cohort Ally Traquiña. The duo were caught with four pieces of heat-sealed sachets containing alleged shabu weighing 17 grams valued at P115,600.00 and one P500 bill marked money.
Another SLI, Jacquiline Gonzales alias “Jacky,” resident of Esteban St., Brgy. New Ilalim, Olongapo City was arrested thru a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of Olongapo CPO at the suspect’s place of residence and seized from her were 7 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing a total of 33.5 grams with an estimated value at P227,800.00, and one P500 bill marked money.
Meanwhile, in Bulacan, Melvin Marzan was arrested by operatives of San Jose Del Monte CPS during an anti-illegal drug operation at Sapang Lamig, Brgy. Minuyan Proper, CSJDM and was confiscated with 15 pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachets weighing approximately 18 grams with an estimated value of P122,400.00 and one P1,000 bill marked money.
Appropriate charges for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11, Art II of RA 9165 are being readied against the suspects for court referral.
Gen. Hidalgo said that with the constant arrest and neutralization of illegal drug personalities as well as the unremitting commitment of the police to stop its proliferation, illegal drug traders will have less opportunity to propagate illegal drugs. (UnliNews Online)
