SAN RAFAEL, Bulacan — A government employee was shot dead by an unidentified riding-in-tandem on Cagayan Valley Road in Brgy. Sampaloc.
A belated report by the local police to Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director, identified the victim as John Emerson, 33 years old and a resident of Brgy. Tambubong, San Rafael.
According to Arnedo, initial police investigation showed that the victim was on his way to work together with two others identified as Concepcion Sherine Gonzales and one Corazon Zafra onboard a black Toyota Avanza with license plate NDC 4879 along Cagayan Valley Road in Brgy. Sampaloc, San Rafael when they were waylaid by riding assassins.
The assailants onboard a blue MIO motorcycle with an unknown license plate suddenly stopped on the driver’s side of the car and shot the victim several times with an unknown firearm.
“The suspects immediately fled towards San Ildefonso town and the victim was rushed to Ace Medical Center in Baliuag City for medical treatment but later pronounced dead by an attending physician,’ Arnedo added.
He added, immediately after the incident. Bulacan Scene of the Crime Operatives was requested to process the crime scene. Investigation and follow operations are still ongoing. (UnliNews Online)
