CITY OF MALOLOS — The Province of Bulacan got the highest record of Hired on the Spot (HOTS) in Region 3 during the Independence Day Kalayaan Job Fairs held in various locations in Central Luzon with the theme ‘Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan’.
This was what Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando said during an interview with local media on Wednesday morning (June 14).
“In partnership with the DOLE and Department of Migrant Workers, the PGB through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office has recorded 131 HOTS or 16% of the actual total applicants during the Bulacan Trabaho Service Caravan,” Fernando said.
He added a total of 834 job applicants with 368 male and 466 female job seekers participating in the job fair and applied to 11,623 employment opportunities being offered by 74 local employers and 11 overseas agencies.
“Kaya’t patuloy tayo sa paglikha ng mga programa at proyekto na magtataas ng kalidad ng kanilang pamumuhay. At isa na po riyan ang regular na pagsasagawa natin ng job fairs para makatulong sa mga kababayan nating naghahanap ng trabaho. Tangkilikin po natin ang mga ganitong gawain dahil ito ay para sa inyong kapakanan,” the governor added.
Coinciding the Independence Day celebration, Fernando also stated that the DOLE has given Sari-sari store starter kits to 250 Bulakenyo beneficiaries and awarded Livelihood Formation Package for the 43 Parents of Child Laborers in Bulacan under DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) including 22 Sari-Sari Store with Bigasan Package, 8 Fishing Tools, 4 Frozen Goods Vending, 2 Ihawan, 2 Boat Repair, 2 Lutong ulam Vending, 1 Bigasan Package, 1 Plasticware, 1 Rice and Meat Vending, and schools supply for the children in observance of 2023 World Day Against Child Labor.
