Bulacan police seized illegal drugs in ‘Oplan Sita’

CAMP GEN. ALEJO S. SANTOS, Malolos City — Bulacan police arrested eighteen felons on Sunday (June 18) and early Monday (June 19), Bulacan police director P/Col. Relly B. Arnedo said.

Arnedo emphasized that personnel from Bulacan 1st PMFC’s Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit were conducting Oplan Sita along Brgy. Lambakin Marilao, Bulacan when suspects, Randy Reyes Jr, Kennedy Mahilum, and Leomar de Torres were flagged down for Violation of RA 10054.

He added upon seeing suspect Randy Reyes threw something off the road before pulling over, 1st PMFC personnel searched for the item and recovered three heat-sealed transparent sachets of suspected marijuana with one glass tube.

Arrested suspects are facing violations of RA 10054 and possession of illegal drugs.

Additionally, Angat and Pulilan Drug Enforcement Units were arrested through separate buy-bust operations drug peddlers listed in PNP/PDEA Watchlist. Nilo Sotela and Jeramyl Sevilla were collared after selling illegal drugs to police officers.

Similarly, Plaridel operatives arrested five drug peddlers and users while Guiguinto police added two drug peddlers to the total arrested individuals for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

A total of 20 sachets of suspected shabu and marijuana were confiscated from the arrested suspects.

Bulacan police have also arrested individuals for violation of PD 1602 and collared persons with warrants of arrest. Guiguinto police arrested Ronald Manalangsang, Jerome Chua, and Luisito Manicad while playing tongits. Whereas, the Bocaue tracker team arrested Julius Arcinas by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Alarm and Scandal.

Hidalgo Jr., the Regional Director of PRO3, the Bulacan PNP exemplifies unwavering dedication in their efforts to combat drug-related offenses, apprehend wanted individuals, and curb illegal gambling activities within the province.
