CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Authorities were able to arrest two high-value individuals, and P748,000,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized on Friday (July 21) in Angeles City during a separate anti-drug operation.
Angeles City Police operatives arrested Cherry Muñoz y Manalo, a high-value individual, and a resident of Brgy. Cutcut, Angeles City during a buy-bust operation at around 1 a.m. on the said date wherein 12 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 55 grams worth P374,000.00, marked money and coin purse were confiscated from her possession.
Meanwhile, another anti-drug operation was launched by ACPO operatives in Brgy. Balibago, Angeles City at about 2:50 a.m. resulted in the apprehension of Rosielyn ROSELLOSA y Biggayan, a high-value individual currently residing at Brgy. Malabanias also of the said city and seizure of one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing alleged shabu, two pieces knot tied transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 55.00 grams with an SDP value of P374,000.00, marked and boodle money and one small pouch.
Criminal charges for violation of Sec 5 and Sec 11 Art II of RA 9165 are now being prepared against the said suspects.
“The results of these operations prove that there are still a lot of illegal drugs circulating in the streets. Hence, we will keep on working day in and day out to stop the use and proliferation of any form of drugs prohibited by our law,” Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., PRO 3 regional director said.
Hidalgo also commended Angeles City police for another accomplishment and further stated that Central Luzon cops are committed to stop the use and proliferation of illegal drugs in the region. (UnliNews Online)
