CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS — The Bulacan police gears up to ensure peace and order and public safety for the 2nd State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Bongbong Marcos Jr., on Monday (July 24).
On his statement on Sunday afternoon, Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director said that 271 Bulacan PNP personnel are ready for deployment during the upcoming SONA.
Arnedo said out of 271 personnel, 52 were Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) from the Bulacan 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) personnel, 50 Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) from the Bulacan PPO Headquarters personnel, 120 personnel in Strategic Checkpoints, 24 personnel in Boarder Control Points, and 25 personnel in Toll Gate Checkpoints to ensure an orderly and peaceful of the said national event.
”Preparations for security measures will be based on post-COVID, using alternative methods necessary since many people are anticipated to attend. Intensified checkpoint operations will be strategically conducted by all police units province-wide, particularly along major thoroughfares, to prevent any eventualities during the said occasion. Additionally, Bulacan PNP will deploy police at border control points and toll gates,” Arnedo added.
The Bulacan PNP, Arnedo said is in close collaboration with various government agencies and local stakeholders, and has meticulously devised and organized a wide range of security measures to uphold peace and order throughout the event.
”As the nation eagerly awaits President Marcos’ address, the Bulacan police assures the public that every precautionary measure has been taken to ensure a secure and orderly event. The force remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining peace, upholding the rule of law, and safeguarding the welfare of all citizens,” he added.
More so, Bulacan PNP is reminded to observe “maximum tolerance” and respect everyone’s right to a peaceful assembly and freedom of expression without prejudice to the security measures the PNP intends to adopt.
