CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In separate anti-illegal drug operations in Bataan and Angeles City, Central Luzon police arrested two individuals and seized suspected shabu valued at a total of P4,080,000 in Angeles City and Mariveles, Bataan.
In Angeles City, police operatives arrested Matarentis Mariga, also known as “Ate”, a 25-year-old female listed as a High-Value Individual (HVI) and resident of San Miguel, Quiapo, Manila.
The arrest took place on Thursday (Aug. 17) during a sting operation at Tangle Road, Purok 1, Brgy Cutud, Angeles City. Approximately 450 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P3,060,000 were confiscated from her possession.
In Mariveles, Bataan, local police conducted a buy-bust operation resulting in the arrest of Rei John Sebastian, a 33-year-old fisherman. Around 150 grams of alleged Shabu, valued at P1,020,000 were seized from him, along with a caliber .38 revolver loaded with three rounds of ammunition.
The arrested individuals are facing criminal charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as well as RA 10591 for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
