PAMPANGA — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Pampanga 1st District Engineering Office relaunched the DELP Cares project, titled “Gamit Pang-Eskwela, Handog ay Saya,” now in its 6th year in Region III on Friday (Aug. 18) at Tabuan Elementary School in Brgy. Tabuan, Arayat.
Together with District Engineer Almer C. Miranda, Assistant District Engineer Alfie G. Lejarde, Section Chiefs, and their respective assistants, school supplies with bags were provided to 50 less fortunate students ranging from grade 1 to grade 5 of the said school.
DE Miranda expressed that education is one of the stepping stones toward achieving goals and can bring about life-changing transformations that define individual identities.
“While looking at you, it reminds me of my childhood life when anyone can dream big and achieve their goals. I believe that one of you might replace us in the future and build a successful career in the engineering industry,” DE Miranda enthused.
On the other hand, ADE Lejarde sent his gratitude to the loving and supportive teachers of Tabuan Elementary School, stating, “The small seeds you plant today are important, not just the big leaves that others see in us because we are the ones who make an impact and inspire others.”
Additionally, Tabuan Elementary School received construction materials to launch and support its yearly Brigada Eskwela.
Those present during the event included Planning and Design Chief Arlette C. Guzman; Construction Chief Danny P. Canlas; Maintenance Chief Donald M. Sanchez; Procurement Chief Neopolo L. Manaloto Jr.; Finance Chief Anna Lorraine C. Tamayo; Quality Assurance Section Assistant Chief Fernando G. Nuqui Jr.; Human Resource and Administrative Section Caretaker Noel G.
