SM malls in Bulacan help schools gear up, support ‘Brigada Eskwela 2023’

CITY OF MALOLOS — SM Malls in Bulacan have once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to education and community development through their participation in the annual Brigada Eskwela initiative. In collaboration with local educational institutions, SM City Baliwag, SM City Marilao, and SM Center Pulilan have embarked on a remarkable endeavor to refurbish and revitalize schools within their respective areas.

SM City Marilao volunteers worked on a variety of projects, including carpentry, painting, repairs, and replacements, to enhance the cleanliness, safety, and learning environment of Lambakin Elementary School. SM City Marilao brought back vibrancy to the two-storey building with freshly painted walls, dust-free chairs and tables, repaired jalousie windows, and sanitized comfort rooms. This initiative breathed new life into the school, creating a more conducive space for education.

Meanwhile, SM City Baliwag and SM Center Pulilan joined forces with dedicated employees and agency personnel to undertake a comprehensive transformation of the learning environment at Pinagbarilan Elementary School. Classroom walls, chairs, and tables were repainted and refurbished to create a vibrant and conducive atmosphere for students. The initiative aimed to inspire and motivate young minds by providing them with an engaging educational space.

Furthermore, the Customer Relations Services (CRS) team of SM Center Pulilan extended their support to Jose Castro Elementary School, where they meticulously organized and refurbished classroom fixtures and materials while cleaning school facilities, ensuring that students have a comfortable and inspiring place to learn. Through their efforts, the SM Security Personnel have exemplified the true spirit of volunteerism and community service.

These initiatives are a testament to SM’s dedication to education and their firm belief in the power of volunteerism. By engaging their employees in community service, SM Malls in Bulacan strive to nurture a spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility among their team members.

Brigada Eskwela serves as a platform for collaboration between SM Malls in Bulacan and educational institutions, allowing them to work hand in hand to create a positive impact on the lives of students.
