DTI Bulacan engages with media in informative Kapehan event

CITY OF MALOLOS — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bulacan Provincial Office organized an insightful Kapehan with Media event on Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 22) and presented details of SME Development programs and explained highlighted DTI’s dedication to safeguarding consumer rights, emphasizing the importance of informed choices and fair transactions in today’s dynamic market landscape.

The said event witnessed the participation of 17 media partners based in Bulacan, who eagerly gathered to be enlightened about the latest updates in Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development and Consumer Protection initiatives.

According to Mary Grace Sta. Ana-Reyes, DTI Bulacan information officer said the event marked a strategic interaction between DTI officials and media partners, aiming to bolster awareness and understanding of crucial programs.

The informative event which was held at the Negosyo Center-BCCI in this city was led by DTI’s Business Development Division Chief, Maria Cristina Valenzuela, and Consumer Protection Division Officer-in-Charge, Librada Estrella.

Division Chief Valenzuela delivered an engaging presentation that delved into the details of SME Development programs while Estrella captivated the audience with her discussion on Consumer Protection programs.

“My insights shed light on the diverse support mechanisms DTI has in place to foster the growth of local businesses, ensuring their contribution to the province’s economic vitality,” Valenzuela said.

On the other hand, Estrella highlighted DTI’s dedication to safeguarding consumer rights, emphasizing the importance of informed choices and fair transactions in today’s dynamic market landscape.

Reyes added the Kapehan with Media event provided a unique platform for open dialogue and mutual understanding between DTI and the media. Such engagements play a pivotal role in disseminating accurate information to the public, ultimately fostering a more informed and empowered business community.
