BAMBAN, Tarlac — A drug suspect involved in the bulk distribution of shabu in Mabalacat City and nearby towns of Tarlac was arrested and yielded around P340,000.00 worth of shabu following a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Nicolas on late Monday night (Aug. 28).
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region III (PDEA) identified the apprehended suspect as King Er G. Vitan, 35 years old, single, and a resident of Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Recovered during the operation were a piece knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing more or less 50 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P340,000.00; one cellular phone; and the marked money used by the undercover agent.
PDEA Tarlac Provincial Officer said that Vitan is included in the PDEA-PNP Unified Watchlist and tagged him as a High-Value-Target.
The operation was conducted by the combined elements of the PDEA Tarlac Provincial Office and Bamban Police Station.
A charge for violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the arrested suspect. (UnliNews Online)
