DPWH Bulacan 1st DEO conducts ‘Gamit Pang-Eskwela, Hatid Saya’ outreach program

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — District Engineer Henry Alcantara and Assistant District Engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez led the distribution of school supplies and rain boots to students from four elementary schools in the towns of Bocaue and Hagonoy on Wednesday (Sept. 13).

Alcantara and Hernandez were accompanied by the Department of Public Works and Highways – Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office Section Chiefs and personnel during this outreach activity, known as “Gamit Pang-Eskwela, Hatid ay Saya,” which benefited a total of 1,170 students in Bocaue and over 150 students in Hagonoy.

“This annual initiative, organized by the District Engineers League of the Philippines, Inc., aims to provide students with school essentials to support their education. With the participation of district officials, we ensured that even more students could benefit, which is why we decided to conduct this program in four different schools,” Alcantara stated.

In Bocaue, a total of 508 Grades 2 and 3 students from Lolomboy Elementary School, 324 Grades 1 and 2 learners from Bunducan Elementary School, and 338 Grades 1 and 2 pupils from Duhat Elementary School received their school supplies.

Meanwhile, more than 150 students from San Agustin Elementary School in Hagonoy received rain boots, which will prove invaluable during flooding incidents. (UnliNews Online)
