DPWH III, PRO3 inaugurate 2 new police buildings in Camp Olivas

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region III led by Assistant Director Melquiades H. Sto. Domingo joined Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen Benjamin C. Acorda, Jr. and Police Regional Office 3 Chief Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo, Jr. in the inauguration of two new police buildings inside this camp on Wednesday (Sept. 13).

According to Sto. Domingo, the 771.58-square-meter, two-storey RIAS Building, and the 384-square-meter, one-storey Multipurpose Building was funded during the fiscal years 2022 and 2023, with a total cost of P28.4 million each, and were implemented by the DPWH Pampanga 1st District Engineering Office.

Acorda, in his speech, emphasized that the new buildings will enhance the PNP’s ability to serve the people and expressed gratitude to the DPWH and other stakeholders for their support.

Meanwhile, Sto. Domingo, who also served as one of the guests at the 122nd Police Service Anniversary program held at the PRO3 Multipurpose Building’s PATROL Hall, was joined by District Engineer Almer Miranda and Engr. Christopher Magtoto.

”Our agency continues to be committed to providing the PNP with the necessary facilities, both physical and non-physical, to effectively carry out its duties,” explained Sto. Domingo, adding that the ongoing collaboration between the PNP and DPWH on these projects underscores the joint commitment of both agencies to ensure the safety and security of the people of Pampanga.
