OEC violator and lawbreakers arrested in Bulacan

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — During enhanced police operations on Sunday (Sept. 17) and early morning of Monday (Sept. 18), Bulacan officers apprehended an Omnibus Election Code (OEC) violator and lawbreakers, including wanted felons, for various crimes and offenses.

In reports submitted to Col. Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO, in Pulilan, Bulacan, during a road clearing operation, a driver named Joel Yarcia got angry after receiving a traffic citation for parking his Isuzu trailer truck illegally. He grabbed a bladed weapon (bolo) and began damaging his own truck. Concerned witnesses called the Pulilan MPS for help, leading to Yarcia’s arrest and the weapon’s confiscation. He now faces complaints for illegal possession of a deadly weapon and violating the Omnibus Election Code.

Meanwhile, in a recent robbery case in Sitio Himpot, Brgy. Dulong Bayan, CSJDM, a suspect broke into a house by damaging the front door. The robber carted away valuable items, including two laptops worth P90,000.00, one tablet valued at P3,000.00, and one cellular phone worth P12,000.00. The suspect, Jeffrey Dayrit, was arrested, and the stolen items were recovered.

The suspects are awaiting court procedures for multiple law infractions while currently under police custody.

Moreover, two wanted persons were also arrested in Bulacan. The felon, Ronnel Novilla, wanted for Robbery was arrested at Panginay, Guiguinto by the collaborative efforts of the tracker team led by the 1st PMFC Bulacan together with the 301st MC, RMFB3, Balagtas, and Guiguinto PS. Similarly, F Dela Cruz, wanted for Qualified Theft was arrested at Hagonoy PS by virtue of a warrant issued by the court.

All the arrested accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit or station for proper disposition.

Furthermore, three illegal gamblers were caught in the act of engaging in and betting on illegal cockfighting at Bagumbayan, Bocaue. Bocaue PS confiscated fighting cocks, gaffs, and bet money in different denominations.

The Bulacan PNP is devoted to keeping a safe community free from criminal activities. The ability to stop individuals who incite fear and use violence in the community shows how steadfastly committed we are to battling lawlessness and violence for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election 2023.
