CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Demonstrating an unyielding dedication to public service and community involvement, Col. Relly B. Arnedo, the provincial director of Bulacan, spearheaded a humanitarian effort that provided aid to earthquake-ravaged and flood-affected communities in Abulug, Cagayan on Saturday (Sept. 16).
This community engagement activity was conducted in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bulacan, the Anti-Kidnapping Group, National Headquarters (NHQ), and the Cagayan Police Provincial Office, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd PMFC).
The affected areas, namely Brgy. Canayun, Brgy. Libertad, Brgy. San Agustin, and Brgy. Lucban was confronted with the devastating aftermath of both flooding and an earthquake.
Col. Arnedo expressed his heartfelt concern for the people of Abulug, Cagayan, saying, “In times of crisis, it is our duty and privilege as public servants to stand together and offer a helping hand to those in need.
“The collaborative effort involved the distribution of relief goods, emergency supplies, and the provision of medical assistance to those injured during the earthquake. The teams also offered support in evacuation efforts and conducted search and rescue operations as needed, ensuring the safety of the affected residents,” Arnedo added.
This community engagement initiative not only underscores the dedication of the BulPPO but also exemplifies the spirit of solidarity and cooperation among various government agencies and communities. Together, they demonstrate that in the face of adversity, the Filipino spirit of “bayanihan” shines brighter than ever.
