SANTA MARIA, Bulacan — Key officials from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) and Bulacan 6th District Representative Salvador A. Pleyto recently handed over a three-storey, twelve-classroom school building project to Caypombo Elementary School in this town.
District Engineer George DC. Santos noted that this P38.8-million school building, funded under the 2023 national budget, marks the beginning of a multi-year development strategy aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for residents of Barangay Caypombo and neighboring areas.
Santos explained, “The Caypombo Elementary School extension building is situated on a 1.76-hectare plot, with the capacity to accommodate 540 students. Our vision is to create an enriching learning environment with modern facilities that will provide students with an excellent education, considering the size of the school campus.”
Furthermore, Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Director Dr. May Eclar expressed gratitude to DPWH and all involved in funding the project, highlighting the benefits it will bring to students and their motivation to pursue education for a brighter future.
Santos expressed confidence in DPWH Bulacan 2nd DEO’s ability to provide the high-quality infrastructure needed for the town’s children, especially with the support of Pleyto and the Local Government of Santa Maria. (UnliNews Online)
