SSS holds back-to-back RACE campaign in Bulacan, Pampanga

CITY OF MALOLOS — The Social Security System (SSS) held back-to-back Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaigns in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan and Mabalacat, Pampanga on September 14th and 15th, 2023, respectively.

Led by SSS Vice President of Luzon Central 2 Division Gloria Corazon M. Andrada, the RACE team diligently served written orders to 15 delinquent employers and offered condonation and installment programs to assist them in settling their delinquencies.

“There are two types of delinquent employers: those who failed to remit contributions on time and those who remain unregistered. The SSS employs a monitoring system that identifies employers who are not remitting on time and also coordinates with the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) for non-registered employers.” Andrada said.

Out of the 15 employers subjected during the campaign, 14 were found delinquent due to non-remittance of employees’ contributions amounting to P7 million and one employer was found to be unregistered with the SSS.

The San Jose Del Monte Branch aims to collect P1.3 million from six delinquent employers, while Dau Branch expects to collect P5.7 million from eight employers.

Employers who were subjected to the operations were given 15 non-extendible days to coordinate with their respective account officers. Failure to comply will result in their cases being referred to the legal department for potential legal action for violating Republic Act No. 1119, also known as the Social Security Act of 2018.

SSS reminds all members and pensioners to regularly check their records through their My.SSS accounts to ensure that their employers are making the right and timely remittance of contributions. If there are any discrepancies or gaps, it is important to promptly notify the SSS for necessary measures to be taken.

“We also urge all members and pensioners to remain vigilant in protecting their records, particularly their login credentials, and to never engage with fixers,” Andrada concluded. (UnliNews Online)
