CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S. SANTOS — An estimated P340,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from a High Value Individual (HVI) in Brgy Tartaro, San Miguel, Bulacan on Tuesday afternoon (March 21).

Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director said on Wednesday the anti-illegal operation resulted from the coordinated efforts of the San Miguel Police Station, the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and the 2nd PMFC 3rd Maneuver Platoon.

Arnedo identified the arrested suspect as Christopher Ruvas alyas Parak, 35 years old of San Pedro City, Laguna.

“He was caught in the act of selling one transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer,” Arnedo added.

Confiscated from the suspect was suspected shabu weighing a total estimate of 50 grams with a street value of P340,000, one black bag, a Suzuki motorcycle UB125, and bust money.

The arrested suspect and the confiscated illegal drugs were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while an appropriate criminal complaint against the suspect is now being prepared for filing in court.

“The PNP Region 3 Director, Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., stated clearly that as part of its unrelenting fight against illegal substances, the Bulacan PPO is unrelenting in its pursuit of drug criminals and puts them behind bars of justice in compliance with the Chief PNP’s directive,” Arnedo said.
