CITY OF MALOLOS — A tree planting activity was organized by the Department of Public Works and Highways – Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office at Sito Duplas, Barangay Kalawakan in Doña Remedios Trinidad recently.
District Engineer Henry C. Alcantara, together with Assistant District Engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez, Chiefs of Section, and Unit Heads, led the event in support of the government’s National Greening Program, which aims to enhance climate change mitigation and adaptation.
“This activity is also one way for the office to support the current administration’s efforts to protect the environment and its natural resources, which is especially timely given the catastrophic effects of global warming,” Alcantara said.
Representatives from different sections of Bulacan 1st DEO also participated in the event. (UnliNews Online)
