CAMP ALEJOS SANTOS, Bulacan — Seven drug peddlers, and ten wanted persons were arrested by Bulacan Police in different operations conducted on Tuesday (Oct. 3) and Wednesday early morning (Oct. 4).
Based on the reports to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP, a separate buy-bust operation was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), San Miguel, Plaridel, and Baliuag City Police Stations, and four drug suspects were arrested.
They were identified as Edison Ramos, Ernalyn Reyes, Michael Melgarejo, and Mark Cedric Cruz. They were arrested for selling suspected illegal drugs. Seized during the operations were 16 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P81,736.00, assorted drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.
Similarly, a significant breakthrough was achieved by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Guiguinto Police Station, which confiscated 280K worth of suspected marijuana.
It was stated that about 4:00 am on October 4, 2023, a buy-bust operation conducted by the authorities of Guiguinto PS resulted in the arrest of three individuals, identified as Dexter Landayan, Jayson Mendoza, and Archie Agustin.
The trio were arrested for selling illegal drugs (marijuana). Seized during the operations were two pieces of compressed block dried leaves and fruiting tops wrapped with colored browned tape suspected of marijuana, two pieces of zip-locked dried marijuana leaves with a Standard Drug Price of P288,000.00, and buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
Meanwhile, ten wanted persons were arrested in different manhunt operations conducted by the tracker team of the Municipal City/Police Stations of the 2nd PMFC, Sta. Maria, CIDG, Pulilan, Obando, City of San Jose Del Monte, and Pandi.
They were arrested by virtue of different warrants of arrest. They were identified as Mercedita Dela Cruz arrested for Bouncing Check Law in Brgy. Bagbaguin, Sta. Maria; Evangeline Hollero was arrested for Estafa in Brgy. Masalipit, San Miguel; Eugene Mark Zolayvar arrested for Robbery in Malolos; Roger Budol arrested for Rape in Brgy. Mulawin, Francisco Homes, CSJDM; Ofelia Polotan arrested for Swindling in Brgy. Peñabatan, Pulila; Ronald Asuncion arrested for Statutory Rape and Acts of Lasciviousness under article 336 of RPC in Relation to Sec 5 (B) of (RA 7610) 2 counts in Brgy. Lambakin, San Miguel; Christian Paul Lolong arrested for RA 7610 in Brgy. Catanghalan, Obando; Raymar Balatay arrested for Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2002 in Brgy. Poblacion I, CSJDM; Rodel Victorio arrested for Violation of Municipal Ordinance No. 2002-19 in Brgy. Mapulang Lupa, Pandi; and Joel Bantola arrested for Qualified Theft in Brgy. Masuso, Pandi.
All the accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit/station for proper disposition.
