CITY OF MALOLOS — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) played host to the oath-taking and induction of officers, directors, and new members of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) – Bulacan Chapter recently at the DEO’s Multi-Purpose Building in this city.
Organized by PICE – Bulacan Chapter, the event was attended by Bulacan 1st District Engineer Henry Alcantara and Bulacan 2nd District Engineer George DC. Santos, while the guest of honor was Bulacan 6th District Representative Hon. Salvador A. Pleyto, Sr.
Also adding prestige to the event was the presence of PICE officials including Engr. Levitico P. Esguerra Jr., Regional Coordinator for Region 3, and PICE Bulacan Chapter President-Elect Engr. Benito H. Bondoc.
In his message, District Engineer Alcantara remarked, “I hope that this esteemed organization of civil engineering professionals will remain united under the leadership of its President and the newly elected officers. Let’s take pride and set an example as civil engineers in Bulacan.”
The presentation of the new set of officers and the oath-taking ceremony for both new and lifetime members was presided over by Representative Pleyto, a former DPWH Undersecretary.
“As civil engineers, you possess a deep understanding of the challenges within the construction industry, along with the knowledge and capabilities to address them. Your contributions play a pivotal role in advancing the country’s broader infrastructure development,” Pleyto emphasized.
