Coco’s advice: Find a reliable business partner

BDO Network Bank brand ambassador and Batang Quiapo star Coco Martin said giving a 100% commitment and focus to running a business is essential.

“Don’t enter a business if you’re not knowledgeable about it and if your passion isn’t there. When you start a business, you should know it inside out. It’s difficult to enter a business just because a friend or relative encouraged you, saying ‘you’ll earn well here.’ If you’re not giving 100 percent focus to a business, it definitely won’t be successful,” explained Coco.

He also added that having a reliable bank partner is a significant help in growing the business. To him, it is better to take out a loan from a bank rather than using up one’s savings.

“Filipinos are quite conservative. It’s better not to directly take out your money. The bank helps you with how to further expand your business,” Coco stated. “Many businesses have closed down and failed. We’re lucky when there’s a company extending a helping hand. So seize the opportunity. Starting from zero is tough. It’s better to start, knowing you have a strong supporter to continue pursuing your business dreams or life goals.”

For instance, for additional capital, BDO Network Bank offers Negosyante Loan, where a small business owner can apply for a loan ranging from P30,000 to P500,000.

Coco recently attended the Thanksgiving Day event held by BDO and BDO Network Bank in Puerto Princesa, Palawan to express gratitude for the continued support and patronage of Palaweños on the bank’s products and services. (UnliNews Online)
