CITY OF MALOLOS – As one of the highlights of this year’s celebration of Cooperative and Enterprise Month, a total of P261,930 sales were generated after the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office conducted the Cooperative and Enterprise Month Trade Fair which also featured the DTI Diskwento Caravan and KADIWA ng Pangulo held in front of PCEDO Building, Capitol Compound here last October 16-18, 2023.
In the 3-day trade fair, 50 exhibitors consisting of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, fresh producers and traders and retailers of consumer products marketed their affordable and quality products.
Carmeline Buzon, owner of Tak-da Clothing (Tatak at Burda) from Guiguinto town, which products are housed at the Pasalubong Center including Baybayin shirts, bucket hats, bracelets and necklaces, said that they are given the opportunity to further market their products especially with trade fairs spearheaded by the PGB.
“Maraming salamat sa pagbibigay ng oportunidad sa aming mga maliliit na negosyo – na mabigyan kami ng pagkakataon na maipakita at makapagbenta ng produkto namin at makilala na rin ng mga taga Bulacan ‘yung mga ganitong products dito sa ating lalawigan,” Buzon said.
Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro also took pride of the Bulakenyo products and said that the PGB has always been supportive to Bulakenyo entrepreneurs especially to the small business owners to help them further promote their products to a wider market.
“Humahanga ako sa tibay nating lahat dahil kahit maraming pagsubok lalong lalo na noong pandemya—pero ‘yung mga negosyo ninyo ay nandito pa rin at nakatayo pa din. We’re very lucky dahil meron kaming mga katulad ninyo na maipagmamalaki namin sa buong Pilipinas — ang gawang Bulakenyo,” the vice governor said. (UnliNews Online)
