PRO3 all set for BSKE 2023; mobilizes over 10,000 personnel

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — With just a week left until the much-anticipated electoral event on October 30, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) stands ready to guarantee a seamless and secure election process.

PRO3 led by Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. has deployed an impressive force of over 10,000 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel across the region to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of security coverage.

On Monday (Oct. 23) a send-off ceremony, along with the handover of resources and forces, took place at the PRO3 Parade Ground. This event was attended by members of the PNP, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) as well as dedicated force multipliers.

Distinguished media representatives and other esteemed guests were in attendance, underlining the importance of this mission.

Part of the activity was the Blessing of Troops and resources officiated by Rev. Fr. Lt. Col. Jonathan Chy, Regional Pastoral Officer, and the reading of the Statement of Commitment of concerned agencies followed by the message of Atty Temie P Lambino, Regional Election Director, COMELEC 3.

To optimize deployment and bolster the security presence at polling precincts, police personnel typically assigned to desk duties and educational pursuits have been reassigned to polling stations. This strategic move will significantly increase the number of individuals responsible for safeguarding the integrity and safety of the Election Day proceedings.

Hidalgo extends a warm invitation to the public to contribute to the security of this vital event. He encourages citizens to share relevant and timely information regarding any suspicious activities they may observe, either via social media (Facebook Page – Police Regional Office 3) or through the PRO3 hotline at 09985985330/09175562597.

As the October 30 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) approach, PRO3 stands resolute in its commitment to ensuring a fair and secure electoral process for all. (UnliNews Online)
