Cops arrest 38 violators of liquor ban shortly after implementation

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Following the start of a liquor ban in the country early Sunday (Oct. 29), almost 40 individuals have already been arrested by the authorities in Bulacan and Pampanga.

Central Luzon Police Director, Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. reports, “Since the enforcement of the liquor ban commenced, our diligent efforts have led to the apprehension of 38 violators in a span of merely six hours.”

Of the apprehended individuals, 25 are from Lubao, Pampanga, 5 hailing from Guiguinto, and 8 from the City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Hidalgo also said he has ordered police to strictly implement the liquor ban which will end after the election day.

He also reminded the public that selling, distributing, serving, buying, or consuming liquor is strictly prohibited. (UnliNews Online)
