Hidalgo ensures adequate personnel deployment for UNDAS 2023

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In the wake of the successful Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections in Central Luzon on Monday (Oct. 30), Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr, has reaffirmed the commitment of PRO3 to achieve a “zero crime incidence” during the upcoming observance of Undas 2023.

To this end, nearly 4,000 dedicated police personnel have been strategically deployed to provide comprehensive coverage of cemeteries and transport terminals round the clock, commencing on October 31 and continuing through the evening of November 2, 2023.

About 1,000 PNP personnel have been positioned at designated Motorist Assistance Centers, serving as Road Safety Marshals along major thoroughfares and secondary roads in the region. Their presence is aimed at guaranteeing public safety and security throughout the observance of All Saints’ Day on November 1 and All Souls’ Day on November 2.

Also, around 3,000 police personnel are assigned to safeguard all police hubs and police assistance desks at cemeteries, major transport terminals, and areas of public congregation. Stringent checkpoints, chokepoints, and border control operations are also underway along the Main Supply Route leading to PNP Camps, all with the sole purpose of ensuring that no untoward incidents occur.

Hidalgo urges the public to remain vigilant and alert, thus denying lawless elements the opportunity to carry out any nefarious activities. To support this commitment to public safety, the police have disseminated important safety tips, including the BLOWBAGETS guidelines for those traveling in their own vehicles.

Additionally, police assistance desks will be stationed at various engagement points. The public is encouraged not to hesitate to report any incidents to their nearest police station or through the PNP hotline numbers 09985985330 and 09175562597. (UnliNews Online)
