CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A big-time drug peddler and his three cohorts were collared and yielded some P3,400,000.00 worth of shabu after a drug entrapment operation in mall open parking area at DasmariƱas, Cavite on Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 7).
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pampanga Team leader identified the apprehended suspects as Hedwig Ramos, 40 years old, resident of 245 Brgy. San Nicolas 1st, Lubao, Pampanga; Ryan Comerciante; 43; of 218 Tindalo Sagad St. Brgy. Sta. Clara, Sta. Maria, Bulacan; Mark Angelo Marasigan; 36; resident of Zone 6 Pantalan St. Brgy. Malaban, BiƱan City, Laguna; and Lester Ramos; 37; resident of 2484 Brgy. 152 Apelo Cruz Malibay, Pasay City.
According to the operating teams, Ramos (the operation’s principal target) had been involved in the bulk distribution of shabu in the City of San Fernando and nearby towns in Pampanga.
“We were able to secure a drug deal with Ramos for the purchase of 500 grams of shabu and agreed to meet in San Fernando, Pampanga. When we reached the meet-up place in Pampanga, Ramos called and instructed the undercover agent to meet him in a mall parking lot in DasmariƱas City until their arrest”, the team leader added.
PDEA agents recovered five knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing more or less 500 grams amounting to P3,400,000, and the marked money used during the drug sting.
The operation was conducted by the combined elements of PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office and PDEA Calabarzon.
A charge for violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to section 26B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165 is now being readied for filing in court. (UnliNews Online
