CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Combined efforts of authorities were able to score anew on criminal groups as the leader of the notorious Janawi Criminal Group and two of its members were arrested by authorities during an anti-drug operation in Subic, Zambales, Wednesday night (November 22).
PRO3 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. said that Subic Municipal Police Station together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Zambales Provincial Office, Police Intelligence Unit (PIU) Zambales Provincial Police Office (ZPPO), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) ZPPO, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) ZPPO, 305th Mobile Company (MC), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3), and Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT) Zambales-RIU3 launched an anti-drug operation which resulted in the arrest of Roger Janawi, the leader of the Janawi Criminal Group and two (2) more members of the group, who were already on the watchlist, around 8:55 p.m.in Barangay Calapacuan, Subic Zambales.
Seized from the trio were suspected shabu, weighing 296 grams, with Standard Drug price of P2,012,800.00 and a caliber .38 revolver with six live ammunition rounds.
“This collaborative effort among law enforcement agencies shows our commitment to putting a stop to illegal drug activities and breaking apart criminal groups in the area,” Hidalgo said.
