CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — An estimated P963,000.00 worth of dried marijuana leaves was seized and 2 drug felons were arrested in an anti-illegal drug operations in City of Malolos and Balagtas town on Friday (Nov. 24).
In an statement, Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director said that around 12:25 a.m. Malolos police conducted a successful drug sting operation in Brgy. Pinagbakahan in the said city.
Arnedo said during this operation, approximately 6 kilograms of suspected dried marijuana, with a standard drug price (SDP) of about P720,000.00, along with marked money and one unit of white Honda ADV with plate number 697ROG, were confiscated.
“The suspects, identified as alias Glenn, residents of Brgy. Pinagbakahan, City of Malolos, Bulacan, were promptly arrested,” Arnedo said.
Similarly, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Balagtas conducted a drug buy-bust operation in Brgy. Santol, Balagtas, Bulacan, at about 1:45 a.m. resulted in the arrest of one drug peddler identified as alias Reyvin, 25, a resident of Brgy. Pinagkuartelan, Pandi, Bulacan.
About 2.03 kilograms of suspected dried marijuana with a SDP value of P243,600.00 and mark money were confiscated.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination.
While criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspect is now being prepared for filing in court.
“The unwavering commitment of the Bulacan PNP to combat criminality and maintain public safety in the province is evident through these intensified police operations, with the guidance of PRO3 regional director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr.,” Arnedo stated in his statement.
