STUDENTS and teachers of Calabuanan National High School in Baler benefit from the completion of a covered court by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO).
The 600-square meter structure built adjacent to the existing stage of the said school now serves as a venue for different purposes such as sports and other extracurricular activities.
“Due to the spacious area that this facility offers, the number of activities that teachers can organize for their students will surely increase. It will also help students excel in other school events that are conducted outside of their classrooms,” District Engineer Roderick Andal said.
Andal added that the P6.4-million facility, funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act, is equipped with a ramp, comfort room, 14 LED lights, and basketball rings, which will enhance students’ interest in sports engagement. (UnliNews Online)
