Central Luzon police seize over P1.8M worth of illegal drugs in two-day ops

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In a proactive and relentless effort to combat illegal drug activities, Central Luzon police successfully carried out a series of anti-drug operations in Bataan, Bulacan, and Pampanga on Thursday (Nov. 23) and Friday (Nov. 24), resulting in the confiscation of illicit substances valued at more than P1.8 million.

During the intensive two-day operation, law enforcement agents conducted three separate drug busts on Friday (Nov 24) in Bulacan and Bataan.

In Bulacan, two individuals were apprehended in possession of over eight kilograms of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, amounting to P963,600.00. Additionally, two suspects were arrested with more or less 80 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of P554,000.00.

Operatives of the Balagtas Municipal Police Station recovered 2.03 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, valued at P243,600.00.

Simultaneously, the Malolos City Drug Enforcement Unit discovered six kilograms of suspected marijuana with a street value of P720,000.00.

In a separate operation, operatives of the Balanga City Police Station seized eighty grams of shabu, estimated at P554,000.00.

Furthermore, the Guagua MPS Drug Enforcement Unit conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in Betis, Guagua, resulting in the apprehension of a High-Value Individual (HVI) drug dealer. Authorities confiscated approximately 63.69 grams of shabu valued at P433,092.00.

In commending the success of the operations, PRO3 Director Brig. Gen.Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. expressed his appreciation, stating, “I commend our troops for a job well done. This goes to show that we are unremitting in our campaign against illegal drugs, which is also in line with the BIDA program of the DILG.”

The coordinated efforts and notable success in apprehensions and seizures underscore the commitment of PRO3 personnel to eliminate the presence of illegal drugs within the region, contributing to a safer and drug-free community. (UnliNews Online)
