NUEVA ECIJA — Traveling to communities within the town of Llanera has become safer and more convenient with the completion of a road concreting project implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Nueva Ecija 1st District Engineering Office (DEO).
This was affirmed by Nely Dunoga, a local resident who attested to the improvement in road connectivity after the project was implemented.
“Dire-diretso na ngayon ang takbo ng mga sasakyan,” Dunoga quipped.
The 0.765-kilometer road, linking Barangay San Vicente to Barangay General Luna through Barangay Bosque, has significantly improved transportation, sparing residents and other users from rough roads and water-filled potholes, reducing inconvenience.
“Noon, kapag maulan, siyempre lubak-lubak, mai-stock ‘yung mga tubig kaya maputik. Pero malaki na ang pinagbago ngayon na na-semento na, maganda na ‘yung daan,” Dunoga pointed out.
Meanwhile, OIC-District Engineer Osias Santos conveyed that the P19.4-million road concreting project, part of the Department’s Convergence and Special Support Program (CSSP) and funded through the 2023 national budget, has enhanced connectivity for farmers and is anticipated to bolster the agricultural sector in the area.
