SM City Baliwag commends janitor for returning over P100K

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — A janitor of SM City Baliwag displayed exemplary honesty after returning P104,800.00 worth of cash to a mallgoer.

On January 25, 2024, janitor John David Sulit personally appeared at the Customer Relations Service (CRS) office of the mall to turn over cash worth P104,800.00 wrapped in plastic. According to Sulit, he recovered the said item from the urinal’s ledge while doing his task in one of the male comfort rooms.

The money was quickly returned to its owner, Mr. Ramil Manalastas of Mapaniqui, Candaba, Pampanga, who expressed his gratitude towards Sulit and the entire CRS team for the recovery of his cash.

The SM City Baliwag management has commended Sulit for his honesty and dedication to work.

This is not the first time SM Bulacan mall personnel have been able to return valuables left by mall patrons. In June 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, security guard Rodel Victorino of SM Center Pulilan also returned a wallet containing P46,798.00 he found while on duty. (UnliNews Online)
