SAN LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija — A buy-bust operation resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the dismantling of a makeshift drug den by anti-drugs operatives in Barangay Magpapalayoc, San Leonardo town on Monday night (Feb. 19).
PDEA team leader identified the arrested suspects as Roy Oyan y Arseo, 35 years old; Roger Velasquez y Macalinao, 58 years old; Gemma Mingala y Gallego , 48 years old; John Merick Reyes y Soliman, 26 years old; and Ian Dela Cruz y Mendoza , 26 years old.
Authorities said that arrested were all residents of San Leonardo.
Recovered from the apprehended suspects were nine pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing more or less 15 grams of shabu worth P103,000.00; assorted drug paraphernalia; and the buy-bust money.
A tip from the neighborhood that illegal drug activity was taking place in the area that prompted the operating teams to launch the operation.
The operation was conducted jointly by PDEA Nueva Ecija Provincial Office and the local police.
Charges for the violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects. (UnliNews Online)
