Most wanted of PRO 4A nabbed in Bulacan; 19 drug peddlers arrested

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS — Bulacan police conducted a series of intensified operations resulting in the confiscation of illegal drugs amounting to P157K, as well as the arrest of a Most Wanted Person (MWP), several drug dealers on Monday (Feb. 26) up to Tuesday morning (Feb. 27).

In his statement, Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director said on Tuesday that intel personnel of Meycauayan City, together with the 2nd PMFC, Quezon PPO, PRO 4A, executed a warrant of arrest against Marvin Maraña for the crime of Rape (2 counts) with no recommended bail.

Maraña, according to Arnedo is listed as a Regional Level – Most Wanted Person (MWP) of PRO 4A, is currently detained at Meycauayan City police station pending turnover to the issuing court.

Meanwhile, 19 drug dealers were apprehended in a series of drug-bust operations conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Unit and Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEU) of Pulilan, San Miguel, Hagonoy, Malolos City, Sta. Maria, Bocaue, Norzagaray, and San Rafael.

“These operations resulted in the confiscation of 46 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of 157,080 (SDP) and marked money,” Arnedo said.

He added the arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination. While criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspect are now being prepared for filing in court.
