CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — For the month of March, the contributions of women, particularly women in uniform, are being recognized by Police Regional Office 3 under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr.
The month-long celebration with the theme “WE for gender equality and inclusive society,” is highlighted by various activities which include the Battalion formation of parading elements composed of policewomen in PRO 3 during the Kick-off and Culmination ceremony of the Women’s month.
Further, several awards and recognitions will be given to deserving female PNP Commissioned Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Non-Uniformed Personnel.
Hon Florida P Robes, Representative, Lone District, City of San Jose del Monte Bulacan graced the kick-off ceremony of the National Women’s Month Celebration which coincided with the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held on Monday morning (March 4).
“In honor of all the women in the police service, the command employs policewomen in the male-dominated management realm. This is to connect gender gaps and promote gender equality and women empowerment within the police organization,” Hidalgo said.
Coinciding with the event is the awarding of 55-inch SMART Google TV to Provincial/City Police Offices by P/MGen. Walter E. Castillejos (Ret), PSMBFI Board of Trustees. (UnliNews Online)
