Clark Water to invest P5.56-B for high-quality, sustainable water services

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Pampanga — Clark Water, a subsidiary of Manila Water Philippine Ventures, will invest P5.56 billion to boost the provision of high-quality and sustainable water services to Clark Freeport Zone (CFZ).

Clark Water Corporation President Melvin John Tan said they fully support the goal of making CFZ a premier business and tourism destination by implementing projects aimed at enhancing water security, service quality, accessibility, continuity, and regulatory compliance.

“With this, Clark Water will continue with its source development programs to increase the current supply by 22 percent and is likewise set to embark on the exploration of sustainable water sources and water reuse,” he said.

Part of this investment is the construction of additional water treatment plants and storage facilities; continuous building and expansion of water and sewer networks; and effective maintenance and rehabilitation of existing networks.

General Manager Lyn Zamora said these projects will not only enhance customer service, but will also support CFZ and Pampanga as key investment hubs in the country.

Since its operation in 2000, Clark Water provided 24/7 availability of water supply; 99.9 percent water supply coverage; 100 percent wastewater service coverage; and 100 percent water compliance with the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water.

It was also able to reduce non-revenue water from 55 percent in 2000 to six percent in 2023, reducing a volume of 20 million liters per day.

Currently, Clark Water is serving more than 1,000 locators in CFZ, with around 2,000 water service connections.
