CL cops yield 8 suspects, more than P1.7M illegal drugs

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police authorities arrested eight individuals and seized P1,706,800.00 worth of alleged shabu during separate anti-illegal drug operations in Pampanga and Angeles City on Wednesday (May 1) and Thursday (May 2).

Operatives of Angeles City Police launched an anti-illegal drug operation at Brgy. Ninoy Aquino, Angeles City which resulted in the arrest of @ Gio and @ RJ and confiscation of 70 grams of suspected Shabu with standard drug price of P476,000.00 along with a .38 caliber revolver loaded with two live ammunition, Php 1,000 marked money, 7 pieces of P1,000 bill fake money and one violet Yamaha Mio Sporty.

Relatedly, the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) and PS3 apprehended @ Ate during an anti-illegal drug operation at Brgy Cutud, Angeles City and seized from her possession 55 grams of suspected shabu with standard drug price of P374,000.00.

Meanwhile, operatives of Mabalacat CPS carried out a drug buy bust operation in Brgy. Poblacion, Mabalacat City which resulted in the arrest of alias “Bong”, alias “Nog,” and alias “Meinando” and seizure of eight pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 56 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P380,800.00.

Similarly, an anti-illegal drug operation was conducted by operatives of San Fernando City Police Station in Brgy. Dela Paz Sur, City of San Fernando on May 1 which resulted in the capture of alias Jonel and alias Jerome and confiscation of 70 grams of suspected Shabu with standard drug price of P476,000.00.

The arrested suspects are facing appropriate charges for violation of Sec. 5 and 11 of Art. II of RA 9165, and preparations are underway for their court referral.
